Topps has been a major player in the world of collectible cards for many decades. Since this week they’ve launched their first digital collectibles on the Wax blockchain. On top of that Animoca Brands used an existing franchise to launch digital collectibles. Enough interesting stuff happened this week in blockchain gaming.

Garbage Pail Kids Collectible Cards Sold Out

Hey, 80s and 90s kids. Do you remember Garbage Pail Kids? I know I sure do! Launched this week, Topps sold all 110 thousand Garbage Pail Kids cards within 28 hours. The cards were sold in packs of five for five dollars. From now on collectors will only be able to buy the digital collectibles on secondary markets that support Wax. Crazy Defense Heroes Introduces Blockchain Collectibles

Two year old mobile game Crazy Defense Heroes from Animoca Brands has launched digital collectibles. These non-fungible tokens are just that, digital collectibles. Players won’t be able to use these items in-game. Reddit Jumping Into Ethereum-powered Loot Tokens

Cool stuff. Reddit announced that users from /r/cryptocurrency and /r/fortnitebr will be rewarded with Community Points.
