Gamers gain ownership, artists reach a bigger market etc. People now have access to technology that provides them with new means. Sotheby’s Opens Virtual Museum in Decentraland

This week auction house Sotheby’s auctioned several NFTs through a special auction, combining their physical location in London with a virtual one in Decentraland. In my opinion a very well executed project, that could become a blueprint for other companies to move their business into the virtual world. Boson Protocol acquired a big piece of land late May, a club in Ibiza is opening a virtual club in DCL, and the Play to Earn Game Festival will be coming again in July. Animoca to Continue Crypto Space Commander

It’s safe to say that this was a surprise move. Sure, Animoca and Lucid Sight already have a partnership, but I didn’t expect Animoca to pick up an almost forgotten blockchain game for the gutter in an effort to revive it. Blankos Gets $75 Million Additional Funding

This week Mythical Games launched the play-to-earn features for Blankos. Now players can complete quests and earn Blankos NFTs. However, we’re still waiting for the NFT marketplace. While we are waiting, Mythical got a $75 million investment, meant to grow their ecosystem. They will bring probably bring Blankos to consoles, while also developing two other games. — Read more about the investment

Splinterlands Sold Out All Land on First Continent

They started the land sale in November, and pushed it in waves. Now approximately 8 months later, Splinterlands has sold all 150,000 land parcels for their first continent. Supposedly this will be enough land to push the game forward towards new audiences, but they do have plans for future continents should the new arise.
