Gamers invested 1 million dollars in virtual land this week
Gamers and opportunist crypto traders have invested almost one million dollars in virtual land in the past seven days. Decentraland, Cryptovoxels and The Sandbox all together have seen a total trading volume of 944.506 dollars. Read more
Decentraland user names are Ethereum domain names
Citizens of the virtual world of Decentraland will from now on be able to login using decentralized user names from the Ethereum Name Service. Login names are converted into ERC-721 tokens, which means they can be traded. Read more

Trading card game Splinterlands Untamed is now also playable on mobile devices. The development team released an alpha version of the app. Read more
Alterverse Disruption now playable
First person space adventure Alterverse Disruption is now playable on PC. Game studio Alterverse Inc. released a pre-alpha version of the game that includes the game modes Solo Raids and Freeplay Mode. In the coming weeks the studio will add Co-op Alliance Raids and the Adventure Quest mode to the game. Read more
Increased Ethereum activity made it more dominant
Ethereum is still the biggest and the fastest growing blockchain for smart contracts, driven by lots of activity in blockchain games and more recently decentralized finance. The amount of daily active wallets increased 82 percent in January 2020, compared with the same month one year ago. Read more
FC Barcelona moving into digital collectibles
FC Barcelona has partnered with blockchain rewards platform Socios to give fans a voice and step into the world of digital collectibles. This will allow fans to interact with the club through Barça Fan Tokens. They’ve named the token BAR, and it will go on sale within the Socios app in Spring 2020. Read more
